My Henry is fish intolerant. He has been sick after eating meat flavour food. Looking through the ingredients there is fish or fish oils in many foods.
I was considering a raw diet as a way of being sure no fish is included.
I have a couple of questions
- is anyone aware of food brands that are grain and fish free?
Does anyone feed a raw diet? If so, what are your experiences - where do I start?
TIA

it's tiresome, I know, but Zooplus lists the ingredients of most foods they sell, so it's a case of trawling through them
there are certainly plenty of foods produced in Sweden and Germany which are grain and fish free

Thanks Kay. I have been trawling Zooplus this pm.
Hope you and your cats are ok?

Re: Raw diet/non fish food
my two are still doing well, and are practically in hibernation in front of the fire at the moment
Tiffany tends to get scabby patches over her eyes if she has fish, and I was surprised to find most Felix pouches have fish in them, regardless of the named variety, and surprised too at how many dried foods contained fish oil
I don't bother much now as she only seems to suffer if I serve pure fish - and even then I let her have some tuna once a fortnight, as she doesn't scratch the sore place

Re: Raw diet/non fish food
Henry has never been sick with his food before. We switched him to lily’s a while ago - all meat flavours. He had a spell of being sick after food. Noticed that he is not sick after some flavours - which are the ones without fish. In an ideal world all four would get the same food to make ordering and storing easier......
