RACE AGAINST TIME TO SAVE ANIMAL AID CAT RESCUE, LIVERPOOL

Post by Dee37 »

Hi

I’d be extremely grateful if you would consider lending some support to the campaign for Animal Aid Cat Rescue, Liverpool (registered charity 1143133, founded 1990).

Their premises were put up for auction without their knowledge and now they are facing a desperate race against time to raise £20,000 during the month of April in order to purchase the building themselves.

If they fail, 70 cats and kittens will become homeless and a vital animal welfare service will be lost in Liverpool.

The generosity of people has been overwhelming and £14,500 has been raised in total so far, but donations are slowing down and we need to spread the word further afield. We need one last push to raise the remaining £5,500.

Every single pound helps – if we can share this campaign with 5,500 people who each donate a pound, they will make it!!

If you can help in any way, especially by sharing details on Twitter and Facebook, then we’d be extremely grateful to you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

Best wishes

Dee

Hi

Thank you very much to each and every one of you who has helped this campaign, whether by raising funds, donating, sharing or keeping it trending on Go Fund Me by liking.
Animal Aid are so very nearly there but just not quite:

https://www.gofundme.com/8sncs-save-our-home

For those who don't know, there has been a desperate race against time to raise the £22,000 deposit needed to buy their premises after their landlord put it up for sale without their knowledge. They we're unaware that the building was going to auction until 24 hrs before the auction date when viewers came and asked to be shown round. They had to act fast to save this cats home.
The total raised currently stands at a fantastic and very generous £19,000.
Of course this is still £3,000 short of the target figure needed and if the only way to save the home is to use funds saved for food and veterinary bills then that is what they will have to do. But still the cats keep on coming - they have taken in three more kittens today and it all eats into their limited funds. If they do secure purchase of their building, they will then have a £77,000 mortgage to pay.
If I could ask you for a little bit more help to try to hit the target that would be wonderful.
If you can spare a pound, that would be so fantastic - £3,000 pounds to go.
If you could keep on sharing it would be really appreciated.
Thank you all very, very much.

Hi
Just want to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you who supported Animal Aid Cat Rescue, Liverpool during this time of crisis.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of their supporters, they have raised the extra £22,000 of deposit needed towards the purchase of the building in order to stop the eviction.
It is just a question now of keeping fingers crossed that the sale goes through smoothly.
The hard work of rescuing and rehoming abused, abandoned and stray cats goes on and funds are low because the deposit on the building came to £34,000 in total, but with supporters like you, hopefully the future for Animal Aid and the cats of Liverpool is very bright.
Massive respect to everyone who helped with this campaign.
All the best,
Dee

Hi
Appeal Update.
I have bad news I'm afraid. The bank will now only give a 65% mortgage not 70% as anticipated.
On top of this there are solicitors fees and £1,500 for a survey.
THERE IS A FUNDING SHORTFALL NOW OF £8,000.
Hopefully some time today the total on Go Fund Me will be raised to reflect the new amount now needed to buy the premises - it will be around the 25-26k mark probably.
Sadly donations have stopped coming on in on GFM so they are going to need a miracle now.
If you could keep sharing on Facebook and Twitter that would be wonderful.
I know you all have your own cats and local rescues to support but we cannot let this vital Liverpool Cat Rescue go under. Too much is at stake.
Many cats will suffer on the streets if they do and the pressure on other Merseyside rescues will be too much.
Thank you so much to each and every one of you who has supported this campaign and tried to help Animal Aid.
