William - vanished

Post by Denise1959 »

On the 3rd June, our 15 year old deaf and toothless house cat walked out into our garden. This was a rare occurrence, but not unheard of as he likes to eat grass sometimes.
We were out working in the garden all day and just expected him to appear before dark. Unfortunately, this did not happen and he has not been seen again since.
He is micro chipped and we have done everything we can think of to find him. We only have a few houses down our lane and all of our neighbours have checked outbuildings for him.
At the back of us are fields and woodland and despite the fact that we have been round as many hedgerows as possible we just cannot cover every square metre.
The only thing that was different about the day he went missing was that the farmers were cutting the waist high grass down and the machine was very noisy. We think this may have spooked him as despite being quite deaf he would have felt the vibrations.
If anyone knows what else we can try to get our elderly boy back home, please let me know.
