Pebbles Furever home

Post by Mayday21 »

Hi folks on reading Alan’s post on losing little Mia I wasn’t going to post that I’m back to the Famous Four from Oz. Pebbles met her furever family Sunday & they fell in love with her & picked her up yesterday. What’s even better I know them through my mum’s involvement with the local bowls club & they live a 10-Minilya walk from me. Derrick asked me on Sunday when they came to meet Pebbles “How long has it been since mum passed? Their old girl pts last month & Banjo their 13-yr old Iamese-x’s been wailing. She’s gone to a lovely home with a cat tunnel to an enclosed outdoor area. I’ve just text them to see how herb1st night went. Once she settles I’ll visit her. I’d become very fond of her & 1st interaction I’ve had with an Oriental.Snow Girl prowled the house looking for her sparring partner... Vivian & the Famous Four from Oz.

Great news. It's one of those things with cats, for every heartbreak there are wonderful happy endings to balance it out.

The question now is how quickly you will be back to five?

Oh, the downside of fostering, you must miss her, but so good she's got another loving home and that you know the owner.

Congrats Pebbles and Fusses to the Famous Four! :)

I don't think Vivian will mind me saying, but I heard from her today and things are not going so well for Pebbles. She has come to blows with the resident cat and the new owner thinks she may have made a mistake taking her. I think it's early days yet and she should give it more time.

Let's send positive vibes in her direction. Hoping Pebbles and the resident cat make friends - or at least call a truce. I don't know how she would go on with my grumpy Grace, she gets everyone's back up!

Hi Sue thanks for posting especially as you have Freddie at the vet. Had a sleepless night worrying about this. I was going to post update. Visited Pebbles yesterday & she’s a happy little girl in a lovely home & amazing setup for going outside. Apparently after I left She & Banjo came face-to-face at the tunnel. ... bit of a confrontation & she now has a scratched nose. She got him last week. Donna said her husband’s stressing about Banjo as they had to coerce him inside for dinner as he was cowered in the tunnel but she said she’d try for a couple of more days. I advised President of a Little Paws that it may be a fail & Pebbles will be coming back. She suggested Donna call her so I gave mobile no. On top of this my mother’s last surviving sibling passed at the weekend & I’m waiting to hear re interstate funeral to arrange travel with the hope of decent priced fares. Mr TC knows I’m a out of sorts as he’s sitting beside me on the bed quietly purring. Btw I showed Donna Cat Chat suggesting she join. Please send +ve thoughts that they change their mind. Vivian

Oh good luck Pebbles and do hope things settle - paws and tails crossed. These things can happen, and the cats go on to live contentedly together - early days yet.

Sorry for your loss, Vivian x

Thanks Lilith. Msg from Donna. She spoke to Deb who suggested introduction may have been too quick & to start again lock her up in bedroom & let her out for a run when he’s in tunnel & lock off tunnel to her as his domain being invaded. Pls x all Paws...if only she knew how lucky she is....I’m sure she does. And they’re both black & white perhaps her face markings more even & he has more of a chunky nose. Vivian & hopefully only The Famous Four from Oz.

Fingers and paws crossed here.

Like others say it is still early days and maybe things should have been taken a bit slower, but that's hindsight now. There is still a good chance for it to work out.

Thanks folks .. Lilith I need Shahi’s Input too.. forgot about your royal python & maybe with the title royal he may give the Queen the nudge to make friends with Banjo. I’ve got friends praying all works out ...As for my aunt’s funeral happens next Fri 7/9 as coroner’s involved. Can’t go as I’ve had the weekend booked for 6-mths for Samarai, Papua New Guinea reunion & I’m meeting someone who’s flying in from North Qld for it...long term commitment. Thanks everyone...Vivian

Hi Folks guess who came back on Sunday. Pebbles is ensconced in the 3rd bedroom going thru reintroduction. Alas she & Banjo had a serious tiff Thursday night & her adoptive parents decided to put Banjo first. So it’s Ho Ho back to the drawing board we go. She needs to be in a home on her own so she’s the centre of attention. My author friend has put a great poster together & posted on her various web accounts. Please send +ve thoughts we find Pebbles her own stage to claim. Vivian & thevFamous Five from Oz.

Thanks Desley. If only she realised what she’s missed out on the little minx....and I’m about to have my living area’s tiles removed (jackhammering & Bentley didn’t cope being in cage with TC & Harper so having to rethink ... cat carriers in car with me reading a book :o ) new tiles to go down as well as a new kitchen to go in....never rain but pours...Vivian

Aww, so sorry to hear and Shahi says he's sorry he couldn't wiggle his tail and perform magic ... :(

She's such a gorgeous girl - there must be someone out there, crazy about Oriental cats (there are a lot of us!) who could give her a home ...

All paws crossed again and Shahi is going to do some advanced tail-wiggling!

ps good luck with the house improvements ... sounds like fun ... not!

Thanks Lilith. Donna’s promoting her via her’s & daughter’s network. She’s a funny thing & needs to be with her doting furever family.
