Hi VivianMayday21 wrote:Hi 2 weeks seems a long time to wait for Hendrix’s op. They must be a very busy practice. Think Lilith’s has given good advice re Mia having access to your bedroom. Hopefully with your weather cooling both will prefer to curl up inside. Keep us posted. Btw mt TC is a tad over 7kg! Vivian
At the time of booking it was actually 3 weeks!
Yes it is a busy practice and one of 3 veterinary hospitals in the area all owned by the same company! Our closest has an even longer waiting list - wish I had known this 2 weeks ago when we last saw the vet
There are several other practices but the vet who looked after Stealth for the last couple of months of his life will be performing the op herself. We trust her and she really does give Hendrix and us the time rather than "you have 10 minutes" like the rest of the vets.
Both cats have the run of the house and Mia has 2 special places - well actually one as Hendrix has hijacked one of them! He can be a sod at times!
One very positive thing is that Mia comes in without hesitation at the moment - as long as we open the door. A couple of weeks ago she would not come in readily.
We are also trying to give Hendrix more time. when he first arrived he would sleep in my armpit and would not move all night. Once he got over his fear of Mia he simply wants to spend all his time with her rather than us. We are now trying to spend more time with us and he does actually seem upset that Mia is avoiding him.
Regards
