Freddie is missing.

Post by bobbys girl »

I need your help people. I need all the prayers and positive vibes you can send. Freddie is missing. I haven't seen him since early yesterday. I just assumed he was around as, unlike Billy, he seldom goes far. I am sick with worry. I have walked up and down the lane with no sign. I miss my fuzzy cuddle bunny.

Thinking of you - mine used do this to me often when they were younger, and at this time of year it was nearly always because they had got shut in somewhere. Are there any neighbouring garages or sheds, or even houses, that he may have ventured into?

Oh no ... it would be him, wouldn't it? You GET cats like this, don't you?

All paws, fingers, tails crossed here for his safe and speedy return. Visualising him running to you through a lot of brown leaves - and hope I'm right!

All love and best wishes! x

The stupid thing is, until recently there were a lot of old farm buildings around us. But they have all been cleared away. It is really not like him to roam at all. Billy is the adventurous one.

I’ve been praying as have friends of mine over here that Freddie’s strayed into a garage & locked up for the NY. Such a horrible feeling. Let’s combine all the +ve power for Freddie’s return. Poor boy had a torrid time in 18. Vivian

Very sad news I'm afraid. Heard from a friend who was telling her family about Fred. Her son said a 'few days ago' he was cycling half a mile from our house and saw a black cat, dead at the side of the road. I asked was it a long haired cat, the answer came back 'yes, with a bushy tail'.

All I can think is that he hitched a ride in the family's car when they left on Saturday. Dropped out of the car at the end of our road and panicked, running off in the opposite direction to home.

I am beyond heartbroken. My poor, sweet, little boy.

I am so sorry. Is there any possibility it was another cat?

I'm so sorry, I've been watching for an update on this thread hoping for one to say he was home.

I do wish people would report it when they see a cat at the road side, around us the Cats Protection often post about needing someone to get a cat to a vet to be checked for a chip, at least then the people know and get closure.

Sending hugs to you all.

I'd just like to thank everyone for their kind words. It is some comfort to know there are people out there who understand. Dave was talking to a friend of his who works for the council. He is a cat man and knows just how we feel. He is going to 'get the lads to check the verges' to see if they can find him and bring him home. It's a long shot but it would be a little comfort if they could.

I was ironing this morning and heard this in a compilation I was playing. Once you get past the damn advert, it just about sums it up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAvjEsMtqeI
