Kitten third eyelids

Post by Dhind91840 »

Hello

So I have had a kitten for 3 weeks as well as my other kitten we have had for 9 weeks. The one we've had for 3 weeks is lovely, she eats like a little pig, is active, loud and is toileting fine (aside from a little diarrhea). The issue is she shows her third eyelids a lot. I asked the vet about this 2 weeks ago during her first vaccs and he wasnt concerned but they are still there a lot. Does anyone know what this could be? Her right eye is a bit weepy too but it doesn't seem to bother her.

HI and welcome to the forum.

If she has a weepy eye and the third eyelids have been showing for this long, and if she's got loose stools, I feel she needs to see the vet again, as these are all signs of poor health. Cats are very good at hiding when they're ill, so by the time we see the signs you know it's something that needs looking at, particularly as she's so young. Keep us posted.
