Cats dying in their sleep. Unresponsive but alive. Any experiences?
Cats dying in their sleep. Unresponsive but alive. Any experiences?
My Oodyboo went to sleep with me at midnight on Wednesday/Thursday having become limp in her hind legs (what is that all about?), and I woke two hours later to find her unresponsive, eyes open but no reaction, twitching slightly and breathing like she was having an excited dream. I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced an animal doing this? Because as far as I know, when they die in their sleep, they just take a last breathe and go. I'm confused as to why this wasn't the case with my Oodyboo.

Hi Kris did you get any answers from the vet?

Hi Mollycat,
No not yet. It was the emergency vet and they don't have the rotas, so I've left a message for her to call me.
