If you look in the general rehoming thread there is a lady whos considering getting a new cat and a indoor one who potters in the garden would really suit her

What a beautiful little girl! I already have four (and maybe five, long story) and I think this would be too much for her if she's shy and used to living on her own. I love little black cats - my 'baby' is all black and is only 2 but has grown very independent in the last few months and goes out hunting all day - we have a quiet garden in a pretty good area and they are mainly indoor cats but free to go outside when we're home.

Are there no friends and family who could take her - even for a short time whilst something is sorted out with a local rescue? She will be so confused, poor girl. I hope you find a loving home for her. x

Abby - where exactly are you located? Is there no chance that the home you found would take her? What are you going to do if you can't find a home? Is your vet able to help - they often have contacts?

Poor little girl - what is her name, by the way? Would it not be possible for the couple who were going to adopt her to find someone else to look after her for a couple of months - even have her in a good cattery getting attention - they might be able to negotiate a special fee and perhaps you could share the cost with them? It seems awful to pass up the chance of a loving home for a couple of months?

Why aren't you taking her with you? If my circumstances changed, I would be taking mine abroad

Have you tried Romney House in Downe? http://www.romneyhousecatrescue.org.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Understandably, rescues are overwhelmed with so many people rehoming rather than taking responsibility for animals they take on. I wouldn't part with mine for any reason.
