another bit of advice please

Post by nanny pamy »

Hi again. Ive been looking on amazon for a water fountain for theo but theres a lot of different types so ive read the reviews on them and they,re mixed. Some saying excellent, some saying awful. So could anyone recommend one please if you,ve used one. Thanks so much.

I've got the Cat Mate Pet Fountain, it's very quiet and the mogs use it! The two main plastic parts can go in the dishwasher too and it's easy to take the motor part off to clean it. I would recommend it.

I'll second that - my three all use mine, though it can take them a bit of time to get used to it

Yes, I agree. My three use the two fountains we've got and seem to prefer then to bowls everytime. Criticism tends to be that the motor breaks down but I've now found a chap at a local pet store who says he can mend them and to ask him before buying a new one if this happens.

I've also go the Cat Mate fountain (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Petmate-06039-C ... +fountains" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and 100% recommend it. As Greenkitty says - easy to clean and very quiet

I'm also glad I've found this forum, and this thread in fact.

When Ruby is a little more adventurous I may have to invest in one of these, I think she'd quite like it.

if the pump seems to have broken down, you can often get it going again by dismantling it and cleaning it out
