Just wondering....
... if the Bobble Hat in Brussels who came up with the ban on powerful vaccums has either/or pets/carpets? What do you think?

Re: Just wondering....
I keep reading that power does not necessarily equate with performance ........ but I'm still not quite convinced .......
And it's quite possible that the 'bobble hat' has never even used a vacuum cleaner ......

Re: Just wondering....
Good point! I read an article yesterday that made me laugh. Someone was saying that it won't matter if our vaccums are less effective as with the new, dim light bulbs, we won't see the dirt anyway!

Re: Just wondering....
I'm always amazed at the amount of cat hair picked up by the lightweight stick cleaner I use mostly to pick up scattered litter - hair I haven't even seen - so perhaps it's true about power not being everything
but I have laminate flooring rather than carpeting, and I suspect that makes the main difference in suction

We have a 'Henry'. He's found out that he's going to be outlawed and is looking for a woolly hat and fake beard so he can go incognito....

Re: Just wondering....
Baggypants - Nice one!
KittyWitty - seems they are not satisfied with banning vacuums over 1600 watts. Their next target is those over 900!! I think your Henry is 1200, so he'd better go into hiding as well!
BTW thinking of getting a Henry myself (before they are banned). At least 2 of you have them so I take it they are good for kitty hair?

Re: Just wondering....
I found this fab accessory for Henry which really gets the hair out of carpets:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Numatic-601226- ... ccessories" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have to say whilst it's a good hoover I tend to get it all tangled up due to the length of the cord and the length of the hose, I think I'd prefer an upright.
