Please help reunite me with my cat Billy, missing since 4/3/15.
He is a big black cat with one greenish eye and one darker brown eye with poor vision. He has scratches on his head from a recent scrap.
He is a confident and friendly cat, previous stray and is microchipped but has no collar.
Thanks,
Sarah

Re: Carrybridge, County Fermanagh lost black cat
Hi Sarah,
Greetings from the other end of Fermanagh!
I'm sorry Billy is missing, I hope he comes home soon. I take it you have left his details at your vets? Have you tried flyers in local shops?
Some folks on here would also suggest asking neighbours to check sheds/outbuildings. But if you are anything like us, that might be a very large area to cover.
You say he is a previous stray. How long have you had him? Did he find his own way to you or did you get him from Bright Eyes?
Please keep in touch,
Sue

Hi Sue,
Thanks for your message of support. Still no Billy
now a week & 2 days.
I didn't let the vet know as he's chipped and my address is up-to-date so I'm guessing I'll get contacted. And I don't think Bright Eyes take cats without the vet assessing them first so again, someone should check his chip I hope!
We don't have any shops nearby but I did speak to some of neighbours and discovered a lot of them know him, which isn't a surprise as I didn't get him from Bright Eyes, he was an occasional visitor to us, covered in ticks and un-neutered but fed, so I knew he had found other sympathetic houses. So I got him neutered & frontlined & he just got cheekier and eventually moved in. So he's lived with us for 4 months now and never gone walkabout for more than 1 1/2 days so even though I know he knows where he can get a good dinner, I'm worried why he hasn't come home to his bed
I just really hope it is as simple as him fancying a change of scenery. The only good thing is I've discovered a lot of my neighbours are cat lovers too.

Hi Sarah, that's something isn't it? At least they will keep an eye out for him.Sarahf_9 wrote:The only good thing is I've discovered a lot of my neighbours are cat lovers too.
On a positive note we have a stray, we call Felix, who turns up every few weeks and hangs around for a few days before moving on. I found out he calls at several houses down the road. A few years back he turned up in a bad way. I borrowed a trap and got him to our local vet (who works with Bright Eyes). He was treated, neutered and I released him in our garden. He shot off and we thought that would be the last we ever saw of him. But he still calls back every so often and I am always delighted to see him.
Hopefully Billy has just gone walk-about and will come home soon. Fingers and paws crossed for his safe return.
Best wishes
Sue
