BL1 Bolton Heaton help me please. BORIS British Blue (found)

Post by tris14 »

My boris a british blue all grey blue is missing. I desperately want him home. I worry re his wellbeing & health. He has no tail and a big scar on his back due to injury when younger. He will be very timid and frightened. He is lost and maybe injured. Please look out for him. I need him home safely. He is part of my family. I think he was chased away by another cat as boris is new to area..hence he is probably lost and hiding to keep safe. If you see him or are feeding him perhaps looking after him pls take to a vet or contact me so he can be reunited with me. I search daily since his abscence of 20 june and will never give up on finding him. A reward a good one will be given for his safe return. I moved from kent to lancs so he is a very long way from previous home. Please help me find him. I struggle as i am a wheelchair user and hunting is not easy as not everywhere is acessible. Many kind thanks for your time.

Thank goodness! So happy for you!

So that you can help others, where did you find him and was there anything you did that helped? He's a gorgeous boy - keep him in for a while now!

My cat was found in a rest home less than one mile from his new home. It had overgrown sadly neglected gardens but it was exactly what Boris liked as we use live next door to an unkempt very large garden. Also, not sure if a coincidence but I had gone down the exact same road almost outside the same address leaflet dropping and searching plus calling for Boris just a couple of days earlier.
So is it possible Boris smelled my scent?? He clearly could not join the dots between the rest home and our house. He was very anxious but v pleased to see me.....he didn't run out from the shrubs at once I had to call his name and rattled a container with his biscuits in. He didn't like anyone else except me to get close and he had his guard up constantly. I don't know why but he was very frightened maybe something happened to him. It took over two bungled attempts to get him in a cat carrier with a friend that Boris didn't know well. In the end I had to lure Boris with biscuits and my friend out of sight and put him into a canvas beach bag with - zip. It was horrific.Boris terrified...me terrified. I kept the zip open just enough to stop him escaping. Boris hates cat carriers as he gets in once a year for his injections and check up. He was also in the vets hospital when he was 18 months old for six weeks, as he was injured...hence he has no tail. Boris has been home several days I am keeping him in as advised by my vet as we are moving soon...a couple of months. He has not asked to go out and now one week later I don't think he enjoyed his absence from home. He is still very timid, it seems....of anyone and anything...he must have been scared whilst missing.... I am so so lucky to have found him. It was some ladies Diane & Kathryn that worked at the rest home that spotted Boris and recognised him from one of the posters put up just outside the premises on a lamp post. So I have the ladies that spotted him and bothered to call in to thank plus the staff at animalsearchuk.co.uk that put up the posters for me.

I am very lucky to have him back. So don't give up,Boris was missing for 12 days, he was lost. He was trying to get home but didn't know where that was from where he was. I searched everyday by wheelchair and touched things like walls, lamppost's and kept calling him. I think the fact Boris was only seen at the rest home a day or two before shows maybe he was trying to find me. I have no idea where he was for the other ten days but he is far more timid of people and loud noises now.
