Hello!
No idea if I'm posting this in the wrong place so apologies if I am.
I have a cat called Seb who has had two urine infections in the last 3 months. My vet has said if it happens again we will need to investigate further.
Anyway usually our cats would have dried crunchie type foods as treats (their dinner and breakfast is wet food with added water) any way I want to find a replacement for the crunchie food treats and I was wondering if mixed white fish in small (10p piece size) would be OK for them a couple of times a day? I ask because I've had mixed responses from people. the fish in using at the moment is pollock. Thank tou for any responses and if you have any other treat ideas please share thank you!

Re: Mixed white fish for treats help!
Personally I'd avoid fish as it can have a high magnesium and phosphorus content which can make bladder issues worse. We find bits of chicken go down very well as a treat. Hope your boy manages to avoid another infection - add a little water to his wet food to keep the bladder flushed through, and maybe cat milk as a treat would help that too. You're right to keep away from dry foods and treats for the same reason - the more moisture the better.
