Shall I just leave her up there...........should I try carrying her down in the evenings, she is coming down more now but it is mainly when she is hungry & wants food. I say the evenings as I am out all day at the moment as I have Jury servis ( not my idea of good, but there you go) My husband is in most of the time though.

I would just leave her to it. She has everything she needs up there and you say she is coming down when she wants food so she know that there is a downstairs, she just isn't bothered about it at the moment.

Re: Bella still upstairs.
Ah. Mine do this. They get attached to ONE SPOT in the house and there's no budging them. Recently upstairs cat changed positions with downstairs cat. They grew up together and have been with me for 15 years ... who knows what goes on in the minds of cats eh?
Decades ago I was at a friend's and her children were watching a TV programme concerning a cartoon cat and dog, and the cat said - 'If the kittens won't do, what you want them to do, then the thing to do - is - what the kittens want to do!'
This seemed to me to be good advice concerning cats ... concerning cats, we're helpless!
There's also TS Eliot's Rum Tum Tugger - 'he will do, what he do do, and there's no doing anything about it!'
Bella does sound as if she's beginning to come out of her shell a bit if she's coming down to order room service though - and she'll begin to explore, if I know cats
Good luck, and commiserations re jury service, arrgghhh, must be awful, stressful!
