Cat is suddenly unsteady on her back legs
So I got a topical dewormer (profender) for my cat Nixie. I put it on her this morning, and she seemed fine at first. I tried to keep her from licking the site for an hour like the instructions said, although she may have gotten a bit in her mouth because she was furiously trying to clean it off. After the hour was over, she curled up and fell asleep for a while. When she woke up, I noticed that she was walking funny. Her back legs were a little shaky and she seemed off balance. She'd only walk a few steps at a time and then lay down, and she kind of tripped going up the stairs. I spoke to the vet and they told me it's most likely not because of the dewormer. Since she is otherwise acting normal they said to just monitor her for now. I was just curious if anyone else had experienced this and what the cause\outcome was. She is 4 years old and never had any other health problems

Re: Cat is suddenly unsteady on her back legs
Update: Nixie is walking normally this morning, not having any trouble with the stairs or anything. She's still eating and drinking. She's not acting 100% like herself tho. Normally she's very affectionate but this morning she's just hanging out by herself. If I go over and pet her she acts like she likes it but she's not seeking out attention like she normally would.
