twenty for 2020 campaign

Working with hundreds of rescues across the UK and Ireland, throughout 2020 we will be identifying those cats who have been in rescue care for the longest time. By highlighting these deserving cats through nationwide publicity and social sharing we aim to reach their perfect person. Your Share, Tweet or Post could do it.

Sugar & Spice (Burford)

Sugar & Spice have been in the care of Sunshine Cat Rescue, near Burford, Oxfordshire for over four years.

cats sugar and spice need a home oxfordshireNot all cats found on the street were originally born there. Some are unwanted kittens, just dumped by callous owners. These abandoned youngsters don't have the knowledge to grow into street-savvy ferals, and having missed out on any TLC, they are very unlikely to become cuddle monsters! These cats are the 'inbetweeners'. Often overlooked in rescue, this is the situation for Sugar and her brother Spice.

Found as kittens, the pair were initially wary of humans but these stunning siblings have learned to appreciate the security, warmth, and tasty meals. Sitting at the window watching all that goes by and their willingness to engage with a kind and calm person suggests that this couple will do well in a quiet home with garden access.

Sugar and Spice seek someone nice. That's what these little cats dream of!

As part of Cat Chat's twentieth anniversary celebrations, Sugar & Spice will be homed with a parcel of goodies including HiLife Cat Food, personalised cat collars from Kitty Collars and Feliway to help them adjust to their new life. All cats featured in the campaign are vet checked, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before adoption.

ian lavender“I have the pleasure of being a patron - along with my mate Rick Wakeman - of Feline Care in Norfolk. We have always taken rescue cats as our pets and urge anyone thinking of giving that ”forever home” to a cat to think seriously of one of the thousands of cats that through no fault of their own need a new home.

Cat Chat works with so many rehoming catteries around the country helping them put cat and new home together and they deserve your support. They and the cats and the rehomers deserve it, and you will find it rather rewarding too.”
