Based near Egremont. Animal Concern Cumbria is a small local charity, rescuing and rehoming neglected or unwanted cats, dogs and other small animals. They have a firm policy not to destroy an animal, except on the advice of a veterinary surgeon. Animal Concern Cumbria always need new land / outbuildings for feral cats. These cats are neutered adults, and past the age of socialisation, being unsuitable for a home environment. Please contact Animal Concern Cumbria if you have a barn or land for a feral. ACC can also assist with the Trap-Neuter-Return scheme. If you have ferals who need T-N-R, or would like any advice or help regarding ferals, please contact the rescue as below. A home visit is carried out prior to adoption, and a donation is required to help towards their continuing work.

Cinnamon Trust - Homes Needed UK Wide
Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care. Permanent homes needed for cats whose owners have died or who are no longer able to care for them. The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in.
