Caleb

Rescue cat Caleb from Celia Hammond Animal Trust - Lewisham, needs homeHello my dears, I'm Caleb and I'm a rather handsome ginger fellow. Now, I've had a rather difficult time of it, although I don't like to complain. I was living as a stray before I ended up in care, uncared for and cold. I was found to be living with an injury from being hit by a car some time ago. My hip was broken, but being a cat, I couldnt just turn up to A&E and demand to be fixed! I had surgery on this old injury and now I feel a lot better and they neutered me for good measure. As I recovered, the rescue people noticed I was drinking a lot of water and the vet discovered I am diabetic. This is managed by daily insulin. Now coupled with the fact that I am 10 years old, I can see many people switching off, now but I'm a friendly affectionate boy who just wants to be loved and have a warm place to curl up. To help me on my way, I am looking for a home under the rescue's long term foster scheme, where their lewisham clinic will continue to provide my insulin and veterinary care. I really hope that there will be some kind soul who will be interested in letting me be their loving and loved companion.
