Rescue Cat Norman, The Mayhew Animal Home, Brent needs a homeHello everyone, I’m Norman. I’m a 2 year old chap, with a sleek, black, shiny coat. I was found as a stray and once in care I was spotted drinking a lot. I had a check over with the vet people and they found I had a rare condition called Diabetes Insipidus which is different from normal diabetes and I have to have medication twice a day for life. I was also found to have Gingivostomatitis which is inflammation in my mouth and gums. I’m actually coping fine with it at the moment but they do think at some point I’ll need a dental/oral attention in the future. Now that I’ve been checked over, I’m doing well and am looking for a loving new home. I’m looking for an experienced cat owner with a quiet home, no children or other pets and ideally someone around to keep a eye on me. Although I’m a bit nervous with sudden movements or noises, once I’m settled, I’m an affectionate boy, who likes a good head and neck fuss and will sit on your lap. I’ve been neutered and would like an enclosed garden. The rescue will provide a month of free medication and a prescription to take to your own vet. I’m really looking forward to finding my new human who I can get to know and love - my paws are crossed I find you soon! Visit our Feline Diabetes page for more information about diabetic cats
