Riley - RESERVED
Six year old Riley came to us following a change in circumstances in his previous home.

Riley’s forever home needs to be one without any children and with none planned in the future. He will need an experienced, patient adopter who is respectful of his preference for space, who is willing to help him slowly settle in at his pace to her quiet, adult-only forever home as a solo pet.

As with any cat, when Riley arrives in his new home he will need a dedicated, clutter free bonding room. Once he has shed his uncertainty Riley is a curious, chatty, playful cat. In the right calm, patient and understanding environment he will thrive but this will take time and confidence. Teaching Riley to trust you slowly must be taken one step at a time, at the pace that suits him, and so for this reason an experienced, adult-only home is a must for Riley. Riley needs a calm, structured environment , with no major changes planned. A routine and the space to be independent will give this sensitive boy the routine and comfort he needs.

Riley has chronic feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD) and is on a strict urinary diet that should be continued in the long term to prevent relapses. This food can easily be purchased from online retailers such as Zooplus or Fetch. We encourage Riley’s prospective adopters to do their own research into the costs of managing a cat with a health condition but Riley’s needs and the implications of having a pre-existing condition for his pet insurance can also be discussed further with the adoptions team.

Riley is looking for a home with a quiet garden to explore. A network of back gardens to explore away from busy roads with little chance of leaving the garden network is crucial for him. Riley will need to have a microchip catflap fitted at the back of the property within a month of adoption.

Riley is being fostered at our South London hub in SE2.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when a particular cat receives an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising. We appreciate your understanding.
