MISTY
Misty is looking for her forever home. After spending the start of her young life on the streets and having had at least two litters that we know of she is finally retiring from motherhood and is looking to make up for lost time. This dainty girl is very gentle, sweet and loves strokes and tickles.

Misty can be wary of new people and she not a fan of being picked up but her foster mum has been working with her, picking her up and popping her back down with a treat to show her it’s not all bad and she’s realising that it’s not that bad. She adores play time, as much as she likes to bat balls around she much prefers a wand toy and goes nuts for the laser pen, it’s like she’s a kitten again.

We had our scare with her earlier on in her foster when the vet suspected she might have FIP (Feline infectious peritonitis) which is caused by a mutation in the FCoV virus but she was just borderline and the vets are happy that she has recovered. Because she may still always be a carrier of the FCoV virus although not susceptible to it, she can shed it so would need to be an indoor kitty and in a home where she was the only cat (or with other infected cats!). She also has what the vet thinks might have been an old injury or birth defect to her left eye but this causes her no problems whatsoever. She would be also better in a home with no children or older children.
