Hi there my name is Althea and I am pretty little tabby girl you can see! I am 17 years young. I arrived here in January 2020 as sadly my owner became too elderly to care for me anymore, I did get rehomed but sadly I was returned in August 2020 as after COVID-19 lockdown I became very stressed when my owner started to get visitors again which was making me urinate around the house.
I am a really sweet girl who likes attention and to sit on your lap, however I am very shy and it does take me a little while to get to know you and feel safe. In my previous home I loved to go outside alot of the time, I would never go far I just loved being in the garden sunbathing. Life here at the centre is quite scary for me so I would really like to find my forever home soon with someone who will give me all the attention I deserve – I am not keen on being picked up though and I can accidentally scratch if I get too scared.
I would prefer a very quiet and calm home with maybe just one person as I prefer just having 1-1 attention and trusting just one person! I would also need to be the only pet in the house as I really do not like other cats.
