Rudy is a stunning 6 yr old blue male Bengal who is looking for a new home. We are with the heaviest of hearts looking to rehome Rudy. He has been with us since he was a kitten and he'll be 6 in May.
He is an outdoor cat so would need access to outside.
He is generally fine, he sits on laps and sleeps on you when he wants to, he is independent but loves coming on walks with his people and the dog. He has his mad moments where he'll play and sometimes when he has been wanting for attention or alone all day, he has chased us up the stairs and sometimes tried to get our feet. He needs a firm no and a time out and then he's fine, It appears to be redirected play aggression and it is rare. If he has regular play and stimulation this doesn’t happen, he is a Bengal who gets bored easily, typical!
He has a heart murmur, and his teeth aren't the best but they don’t seem to cause him any pain, his tummy can be sensitive and he likes his feliways and calm capsules for travel/vets and sometimes visitors. Rudy has recently had an abscess and a tooth out; he is fully healed after his surgery and ready to go to his new home as we cannot give him the time and attention, he needs due to Uni commitments and job changes.
He lives with a dog whom he loves to go for walks with, but he's never lived with kids or other cats. He is based in York and loves his food and to play with feathers and plastic spring toys.
His new home would ideally be with someone who works from home, but he is absolutely fine on his own, he likes human company, but he has been lashing out at his owner (my mum) as she's out 12 hours a day at work, so we believe it is him wanting attention and play but it's quite rough and with no trigger. Simply just her walking up the stairs. Sounds like a Bengal, right?
He's great with dogs and has grown up with a staffie. Also great with other dogs he's met. Rudy is a funny, quirky, gorgeous, sleepy boy who loves to march to the beat of his own drum. He needs a calm, independent person who he can cuddle up to when he feels like it. But someone who's happy with his company but letting him do his own thing too. He eats Whiskas 1+ chunks in jelly and Whiskas biscuits. He loves fish, chicken, and cat milk! He's great to train with treats too.
