Chloe, very sadly, has been returned after being adopted in May 2021.

Original rehoming blog and back story from April 2021 when she arrived:

Chloe is a very friendly cat with beautiful soft fur that just needs a quick brush every now and again. She takes everything in her stride and is quite chilled. She would be ok with respectful children. She has come from the same home as Cheese and Topsy; the lady sadly died and the husband who has Dementia had to go into care. Chloe was already neutered and microchipped with a history of vaccinations, worm and flea control - she was very well cared for by her original owners.  All in all, a really lovely feline who will light up anyone’s home.

CURRENT SITUATION: Chloe’s adopters said that they wanted a cat to spend more time indoors, that she’d stay outside and wouldn’t come indoors, if they tried to stroke her she’d pull away and sometimes nip, she had an outdoor kennel to sleep in. They want her to be happy.

Upon arrival, we took Chloe to the vets for a full health check, she had a cracked tooth; she had a dental which resulted in two extractions. When a cat is not happy or in discomfort they will not always be content with being fussed over.

She didn’t have a catflap and we think that she’d benefit from one so she can come and go as she pleases.  Cats also do have a tendency to paw or nip if they do not want attention or you cross their boundaries or invade their personal space, or they do it in play mode which can be misconstrued. We don’t want to speculate or read between the lines but perhaps Chloe just wasn’t happy or simply being a Naughty Tortie! Not all cats are purr-fectly behaved! We are looking for a pet free and young child free home.

Please take note of Chloe’s carers recent update: "Chloe is beautiful inside and out. She is very affectionate and likes attention. She keeps herself very tidy and just needs a quick brush every day or two. As with most cats, she isn’t very keen on having her bottom or tummy brushed, so just a quick go and it’s not a problem."
