This beautiful lady was adopted 3½ months ago but very sadly this didn’t work out as Amber and the resident cat did not get on, mainly because Amber was very territorial and dominant which worried the other cat significantly. The adopter is genuinely upset at having to make this decision because she loved Amber very much.

Amber was a very nervous lady while in our care originally but she really blossomed in her new home.

A few words from her previous adopter:

"She was timid at first but then confident about adventuring and insistent about being stroked as soon as she realised that was a thing that human hands could do!

Amber loves to be stroked and groomed. She’s funny about people touching her paws and is beginning to be ok with being picked up. She’s got a lovely personality, a little bit cheeky and she likes to sit on the windowsill and watch the birds. She will sit on your knee once she’s comfortable and will go to sleep there if you give her a chance.

We have another cat, however we think she would prefer to be the only cat in the house as she is very territorial and much prefers human contact. She doesn’t like loud noises but not really much else bothers her - she runs away if surprised. She loves to chase soft toys and balls and loves the string on dangle toys!"

HISTORY:
Amber originally arrived with us 2nd August and was placed in foster care. She came from a home of over 80 cats! She had chemosis of the eye which was treated and very bad tartar and dirty ears; she had a dental, was neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Please see our website for videos and more photographs of beautiful Amber.
