Huggy
Huggy had been living on the streets for a while before coming into our care but, without a doubt, he had once lived in a domestic situation. He wasn't neutered so maybe one of the many who are simply abandoned when it's time for their neutering ops or get past the really cute wee kitten stage. One way or the other, he went unclaimed and is now desperate to find a family and home to call his own. Although initially a little shy with strangers Huggy's such an affectionate big boy that he very soon forgets the new person is a stranger and is in there giving big head bumps supported by his internal purring machine. It never ceases to amaze us how cats who have had a rough time, often persecuted on the streets, respond so well to a bit of kindness and, like Huggy, case just love the attention of humans. We don't know how he would be with other cats or dogs so it's probably best if Huggy finds a home where he can enjoy being the centre of attention. He's a gentle boy so a home with children aged 5+ would be just fine and he would definitely want to be allowed outdoors once well settled. Having now had his Big Boy op and been microchipped, all Huggy needs now is to complete his course of vaccinations on May 4th and he'll be ready to get his rucksack packed up and head off to that wonderful home he's been hoping to find since being abandoned to the streets. One more thing: his wee front legs were shaved when the vet was preparing him for anaesthetic when he was having his neutering op and the fur will grow back in!
