Little Evan is one of four kittens born to Avril, a farm cat who came into our care in April heavily pregnant. He's such a curious wee boy, always desperate to know what's going on and how he might, you know, help. Evan lists climbing amongst his hobbies and may well have tackled the Matahorn, just to see what was up there, in a previous life. All four of these babies get on so well and, ideally, we would love to home them in pairs but would consider homing them separately if the home already had a resident, welcoming, cat who wouldn't mind (and might even enjoy!) the antics of a mad kitten. Evan and his siblings were born late in the evening of May 9th and all four have just had their first set of vaccinations. The vaccinations are due to be completed on or just after August 8th, at which point the kittens will also be microchipped and will then be ready to go to their Forever homes. Having been handled from birth, Avril's kittens have had a much better experience of early life than their mother had and could be homed to a family with children aged at least five years. A cat-friendly gentle dog shouldn't be a problem either, so long as the dog really didn't mind being used as an interesting part of a race track. It would also be lovely for Evan to have access to a safe outdoor area once he was well settled and been spayed. Kittens heavy enough (min weight 2kg) to be spayed/neutered have their ops prior to being homed but these particular kittens won't have reached that min weight if homed fairly quickly. In cases like that we ask the person adopting the kitten to send proof once the op has been done. We try really hard to ensure a good 'match' for our rescued cats and kittens and so potential homes are always visited before the people concerned are invited to meet likely candidates in their foster homes.
