Gabby
GABBY
20th July 2023
Gabby is a darling little girl, she’s black & white, short-haired and is being fostered in Tipton, West Midlands.
She is still very young, somewhere between 1 & 2 yrs old and she came to us a month ago as a stray, when she was found collapsed outdoors.
Initially we were told by the emergency vet that she had probably had too much sun….. a couple of days later another vet gave her some medication for a very nasty skin condition called flea allergic dermatitis, she continued to improve and was taken back for spaying. It was at this point that a 4th vet discovered that she had a fracture of her lower jaw, and that she had already been spayed.
X-rays showed that there were no other obvious injuries but at least we had a clearer idea why she had been so painful and lethargic when she first arrived.
Gabby seems to be fully recovered from her exploits and is now ready for her forever home. She will need to be kept indoors for the rest of the summer, she is a bit of a door dasher, so a home with secure windows and doors is essential. From what we’ve seen, she’s not too keen on other cats but a resident, gentle dog should be fine. Gabby is a very loving little girl, not at all nasty, but she will tell you off if she can’t get her own way!
