Talismania Bandit’s Icicle (TICA)
Talismania Bandit’s Icicle (Arlo)
Colour:           Snow
Pattern:          Spotted / Rosetted
Age:               6 years
Sex:                Male
He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated

Medical conditions: None (No medical issues or recurring health problems)

Any known Behavioural Issues: Doesn’t get on well with other cats but absolutely fine and friendly to friends and strangers. He has started showing targeted aggression towards our other 16 year old cat who has become very timid. We have tried everything possible to keep them in separate areas but is proving both challenging and stressful to us all.
It is with a heavy heart that we must rehome our beautiful boy Arlo, he is healthy, confident, intelligent, and inquisitive, he loves to play with toys and is very fond of Amazon boxes. He likes to come and go at all times of the day and night except when it’s raining! So, a cat flap is essential. He is very loving and likes to spend his evenings sitting on his fluffy blanket either on or next to you while making biscuits. He can, like many Bengals be very vocal especially at mealtimes. His behaviour has of late changed towards our old timid tabby who he is targeting aggressively. He absolutely fine with us, family, friends and strangers but will not tolerate other cats. We have done everything possible to keep them in separate areas, but it is proving challenging and stressful to us all. He would suit a loving home where he has room to roam in either a semi-rural or quiet urban area away from main roads. He would be fine with older children but not with another cat or dog. We are reluctantly rehoming.

He's currently based in Windle near Merseyside
Please contact: The Welfare Team ([email protected]) 07717 575198 if you are interested in Arlo and we will give you the contact details.

A rehoming donation fee of £200 is required and is to be paid directly to The BCA  [Acc. Number: 37275178 Sort code: 60-20-21]
We offer a non-profit adoption service run by volunteers, all monies raised goes back into our fantastic Bengal Cat Club (The Bengal Cat Association) and will be used to benefit either Pedigree Bengal Cats in need, our Annual Charity (Saving Wild Cats) or the Club Members). Included in your adoption fee will be 5 weeks of insurance & 1 years BCA Club membership, please ensure you provide your details to the Welfare Team to ensure you get these benefits

The first step is to find a cat that you think could be right for you - It’s important you read the cat’s profile all the way through so you can be sure you’ll be able to support their needs. If everything looks promising, get in touch and arrange for you and your family to meet the cat. If possible, spend a few hours to getting to know them better.

Ask the owner as many questions as you can. Asking the owner lots of questions is great way to find the right pet and make sure you can give them everything they need, too. As soon as the cat is handed over to you, you become their legal owner. You can’t return them to their original home if you change your mind and The Bengal Cat Association isn’t a rescue service so we can’t take them into our care, either.
If you would like to chat to one of our team about a cat that interests you, but you need some advice before going ahead with the rehome please contact us ([email protected]) with your phone number and one of the team will ring you.

As such, you should only go through with the adoption if you’re 100% sure it’s right. If the owner agrees, you can ask to visit your potential new pet a couple of times before making a final decision or try video calling each other. Consider asking these questions before you visit the cat to help make sure you've covered the important considerations. Have I seen how the cat behaves around other cats (if applicable)? Have I double checked that the cat would suit my routine at home? Have I physically checked the cat over? Does s/he have any potential health issues that I need to ask about? Ask to see vet records. If I have children have, I seen how the cat interacts with children? Have my children met the cat? Do I have any doubts? If yes, DO NOT TAKE THE CAT HOME on this occasion and plan to visit again,
For most people, giving up a pet for adoption is heart-breaking. Please bear this in mind when you’re chatting to a owner.

Disclaimer:
Rehoming a rescue cat is a serious commitment please give your new cat a reasonable amount of time to settle to its new life. A cat can take 14 days, and sometimes several months to start to bonding with a new owner, sometimes it can be less time, other times longer.
Remember The Bengal Cat Association is a direct rehoming service, not a rescue organisation. We don’t have the facilities or the means to take cats into our care. So, ensure you as the re-homer ask many questions as you feel you need to before re-homing. However, we do offer a post-adoption support service so please contact us ([email protected]) immediately if you’re having any issues or you’ve got any questions and we will do our best to help.
