Any known Behavioural Issues: Orion is a very affectionate spotted tabby male Bengal. He is 13 years old and loves nothing more than to sit snuggled on your lap all day. He loves to be fussed and still enjoys playing, both by himself and with toys. He's often to be found bundled up under a blanket or where you'd least expect to find him! 
 
We are having to rehome him as we have recently received confirmation that our son has an allergy which is being exacerbated by cats, but he has been a loving member of our family since he was 8 weeks old. He is good with children and very outgoing around other cats and humans. He is an indoor only cat.

We also have another cat - Pandora, who is a non-pedigree. They are a bonded pair, sleep and eat together and groom each other. It would be preferable for them to be rehomed together, but not essential.

We offer a non-profit adoption service run by volunteers, all monies raised goes back into our fantastic Bengal Cat Club (The Bengal Cat Association) and will be used to benefit either Pedigree Bengal Cats in need, our Annual Charity (Saving Wild Cats) or the Club Members). Included in your adoption fee will be 5 weeks of insurance & 1 years BCA Club membership, please ensure you provide your details to the Welfare Team to ensure you get these benefits 
The first step is to find a cat that you think could be right for you - It’s important you read the cat’s profile all the way through so you can be sure you’ll be able to support their needs. If everything looks promising, get in touch and arrange for you and your family to meet the cat. If possible, spend a few hours to getting to know them better.  
Ask the owner as many questions as you can. Asking the owner lots of questions is great way to find the right pet and make sure you can give them everything they need, too. As soon as the cat is handed over to you, you become their legal owner. You can’t return them to their original home if you change your mind and The Bengal Cat Association isn’t a rescue service so we can’t take them into our care, either.

As such, you should only go through with the adoption if you’re 100% sure it’s right. If the owner agrees, you can ask to visit your potential new pet a couple of times before making a final decision or try video calling each other. Consider asking these questions before you visit the cat to help make sure you've covered the important considerations. Have I seen how the cat behaves around other cats (if applicable)? Have I double checked that the cat would suit my routine at home? Have I physically checked the cat over? Does s/he have any potential health issues that I need to ask about? Ask to see vet records. If I have children have, I seen how the cat interacts with children? Have my children met the cat? Do I have any doubts? If yes, DO NOT TAKE THE CAT HOME on this occasion and plan to visit again,
For most people, giving up a pet for adoption is heart-breaking. Please bear this in mind when you’re chatting to the owner.

Disclaimer:
Rehoming a rescue cat is a serious commitment please give your new cat a reasonable amount of time to settle to its new life. A cat can take 14 days, and sometimes several months to start to bonding with a new owner, sometimes it can be less time, other times longer.
Remember The Bengal Cat Association is a direct rehoming service, not a rescue organisation. We don’t have the facilities or the means to take cats into our care. So, ensure you as the re-homer ask many questions as you feel you need to before re-homing.
