Daisy and George, siblings from the same litter of three, endured hardship from their first day of life. Born in the backstreets of Coventry during a cold, wet winter, they survived their initial weeks because of their mother’s care. But mum was hungry, so together the family trudged the roads for months, searching for food, shelter and warmth. They begged and cried at doors, hoping that someone kind would open their home and hearts to them. The doors remained firmly shut. One day, the mother disappeared, leaving the frightened, undernourished, flea- and worm-ridden kittens to fend for themselves. Their luck changed when a kindly student noticed their plight and began to feed them in her garden. When the student had to vacate her accommodation, she vowed to find them help and not to abandon them. The kittens were nine months old when we brought them into rescue, alive thanks to one caring young lady.

456 days later Daisy & George are still with us. The time is long overdue for these youngsters to experience the security of a loving home, which is why we are making this special appeal.

Are you someone extraordinary? Do you love and understand cats that have suffered, that are timid? Do you have time to pet and play with them? Are you patient? Can you offer the security of a permanent home where the cats will be given the space and time to settle in the knowledge that they will never be abandoned?

Being timid, Daisy & George would suit a quiet household of one or two adults and no other cats or dogs. Whilst we feel that a safe garden is a nice-to-have, it is not as essential as you being the right person for them.
