Jerry

We've had plenty of Toms in over the years, now it's time to meet our lovely boy Jerry!

Jerry is a gentle lad who is around 8 or 9 years old. He came to us after his elderly owner sadly became seriously ill. Jerry's mantra is eat, sleep, repeat! He loves snoozing away and would make an excellent couch potato for somebody who has a cat-sized potato space going free on their sofa. That said, he is lightning quick to spring to his feet the minute there's even a whiff of food in the air.

Jerry has got hyperthyroidism for which he has thyroid medication twice a day and he's a very good boy when it comes to taking his meds. Hyperthyroidism is very common in middle aged to older cats and is easily managed with medication, however it is a lifelong condition and Jerry will need to be dosed up twice a day for the rest of his life.

This snoozy lad prefers a kicked-back life in the slow lane. He'd be best suited to a quieter, canine-free household and would be an excellent companion cat. He could go to a home with safe access to the outdoors but we'd also consider the right indoor home for him.
