We are seeking a new home for Alan, our large 8kg cat, due to his serious gut and anxiety problems, which lead to frequent defecation outside the litter box in our small flat, impacting both his and our own mental wellbeing. Additionally, his territorial aggression towards our other cat, who is older and much smaller, has led to fights, raising concerns for their safety.
 
As a result of these issues we have realised, with a heavy heart that we are no longer capable of caring for Alan in our small flat. Alan is incredibly sweet with a love for playing hunting games, play fighting, chasing toys, and enjoying long naps. He is also quite vocal, often expressing himself with various meows, especially when he becomes attached to his owner, showcasing his friendly and sociable nature.
 
Alan requires a patient and experienced owner with access to a garden or outdoor space, capable of addressing his anxiety and gut issues, and managing territorial behaviour. Despite our attachment to him, we recognize that a more suitable environment is necessary for his wellbeing.
