George came into car along with his sister Smokey after their owner sadly passed away.

Both cats have always lived together in a very isolated rural home, they have never experienced roads, traffic or residential activity. We would like to home them together in a similar or near to situation as we can.

Whilst Smokey is up front about getting attention, George is far more reserved and will shy away. He gives way to his sister....until feed time, then he will make sure he's first to the bowls. If he can quietly climb onto a lap, he does enjoy this, he loves a head butt and a fuss, but there will need to be two laps as Smokey always beats him to laps.
George became very timid about 2-3 years ago and we have no idea why. He will need an owner willing to give him a bit more time, to build his confidence and a relationship. This is very doable, he has built a lovely bond with his fosterer and will do so again with his next owner,, but he will need more time and consideration. He did like to spend a lot of time out in teh outbuildings in his previous home, so a decent garden shed or outbuilding will be the icing on the cake for him.

George hasn't got a bad thought in his head, a real gentle giant. He will sit quietly whilst he gets his ears cleaned out, very few cats will do this, but you have to catch him first to do it!!! Eye washes, ear cleaning, brushing are all no problem with no objections from him. He is very easy to handle once you have him in your grip.

George does have a low grade heart murmur, but he has had this all his life, and he has shown no sign of any effects with it. A large percentage of cats have this condition and can live long healthy lives with no adverse effects from it. It will need monitoring each time he goes for his yearly booster, but at the moment it needs no treatment and is of no concern.
A quiet life is for him though.

George will be a cat who gives great reward to anyone willing to offer him a loving, caring and patient home.....and lots of warm comfy beeds....he likes those!!!
