Here are many ways you can help Purrs, all are extremely valuable to us.

If you’re feeling in a shopping mood, you can buy items from our Amazon wishlist, which will be sent direct to us.

We are also signed up to Amazon Smile so if you are part of this scheme, you can select us as your chosen charity so we get a % whenever you shop!

As well as this, if you’re an online shopper, you could also sign up to Easyfundraising and get FREE donations for Purrs Cat Rescue. You simply register with the site, and then visit the site before you do any online shopping, you click through to the retailer from there and shop as normal. Just by going through Easyfundraising first, you raise donations for Purrs! We’ve raised over £1600 because of this site, and all because of just one extra click!

As of May 2019 – we are the VIP LifeLine charity for Pets at Home Romford which is pretty amazing!  If you’re not already a member, why not sign up and select us as your nominated chairty and you’ll earn us Lifelines each time you shop in store. This gets turned into money allowing us to buy food and bedding to support the animals in our care! To find out more and sign up – visit the Pets At Home VIP website

Don’t forget to select us as your nominate charity!

There is another site called Give As You Live – which works in a similar way,  so if you are already signed up with them, and don’t want to switch to Easyfundraising, then that’s another option – we are registered there too.

We’re now part of the Essex Lottery! The lottery supports good casues around Essex. It is £1 a week to play and 60p in every £ goes to the cause. You could win up to £25,000! You can sign up at the website here  Please note, like any lottery, you must be over 16 to play.

We have a food donation bin at Jollyes in Romford and also Pets at Home Romford & Ilford, so you can drop off food donations any time they are open.

You can donate your empty ink cartridges using envelopes from www.recycle4charity.co.uk – we get £1 per useable cartridge – every little helps! You download labels (you can choose Purrs when you sign up) via their website and attach to your own envelopes to send (if you were previously using their envelopes, then they cannot be used after 31st Dec 2020). You can drop off to us at our fundraising events (or even in our food collection bins) and then we send them separately to the company to get our part of the donation.

Don’t send me a card is a website where you can send an eCard to a friend or loved one, instead of buying a greeting card – with our ability to visit shops, gets stamps etc etc a bit more limited now, I saw this and thought it might be a good new way to raise money for Purrs while we are in lockdown! You can send a card in just a few clicks, sending your greeting eCard to them and support Purrs at the same time! You choose your donation amount, they send the eCard! Here’s the link to our page!

We’re listed as a Paypal charity, so you can favourite our charity, and then, when you check out when making a purchase (seems to just be on desktop at the moment, not mobile) you can add a donation to your total! Check out our charity listing page and favourite us using the ‘heart’!

We are listed as a charity on Ebay, so next time you buy, why not favourite our charity and consider rounding your purchase up! You can also choose to donate to us when you sell, or ask your purchaser to give us a donation when they check out!

If you are looking to secure your garden for your kitties – Protectapet have a special offer for our followers – if you mention PURRSRESCUE10 when purchasing then you can get 10% off in their online shop or £50 off a professional installation – we then get commission from this sale. We have received over £300 in referrals so far!

We also attend table top and boot sales around the local area so would be grateful for any donations of clothes, books, DVDs, CDs, shoes, costume jewellery, bric a brac and other similar items. We have various drop off points in the local area – please contact us for an address. We would also be grateful for donations of goods we can auction on our Facebook page – we recently auctioned a Yankee Candle gift set and a signed Essex Cricket shirt which raised nearly £70!
