8 Lives Cat Rescue
Rehoming Cats & Kittens: Derbyshire & South Yorkshire
Oscar, or Oz as he tends to be known in his foster home, took himself to the local cattery a couple of weeks ago.  He was very hungy,  had a very sore ear, and didn't seem to remember where he lived.  We fed him, got his ear treated at the vets (its fine now) and set about an extensive search to find his home.  Sadly he's not microchiped and no one has responded to the widespread posters both on line and on the street.  We think he'd probably been roughing it for quite a while.

Oz has settled happily into his foster home, cleaned himself up and sorted himself out.  He has one of the biggest purrs ever and it doesn't take much to set it going.  He just loves being picked up and snuggled.  He likes to be up near your shoulder so he can put his arms round your neck and nuzzle his face into you.  He's not mixed with all the other cats in the foster home yet, though he hangs out with Jake (also available for adoption) quite a bit and they seem to get along.

Our vet has health checked him and he's fine.  He's neutered and we estimate him to be about 4-6 years old.  He'll be vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption.

Oscar will need to be able to go outside once he's settled in his new home so he'll need a safe garden to explore.

We always homecheck prior to adoption and ask a minimum donation of £70 to adopt Oscar - this helps to cover our costs for helping him and enables us to help the next cat who comes to us in need.
