Biscuit has had a bit of a rough time, he was a found with an awful abscess on his face which has been treated and he’s fully recovered from. He’s neutered and been blood tested, during which he was tested positive for FIV.
This means this special, very friendly boy is looking for a very special home. As FIV can be passed to other cats, he must be kept as an indoor cat and cannot have contact with non FIV cats. He needs a home where he can roam around freely and not be confined to a small area, but not let outdoors.
FIV really isn’t something to be overly concerned about, the biggest thing to remember is that he will need prompt vet treatment if he shows any signs of illness as his immune system isn’t as effective as a healthy cats.
Biscuit could make a great pet for anyone living near a busy road and can only have indoor cats or may be your in a flat?

*FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) should NOT be confused with FeLV (Feline Leukaemia) – they are two very different viruses. They are often mentioned together due to the ‘snap’ tests carried out by vets, but they differ greatly in how they affect a cat, and its expected lifespan. FeLV is a serious risk to a cat’s health and longevity, whereas FIV is not.
The virus depletes the number of white blood cells, which eventually makes the cat less able to fight off infection. However, because it is such a slow acting virus many FIV positive cats can enjoy a normal lifespan with no apparent health problems resulting from the virus.Biscuit could make a great pet for anyone living near a busy road and can only have indoor cats or may be your in a flat?
