KITTENS AND REHOMING POLICY
You may have thought Mitzi had been a bit quiet recently but au contraire!! Its been all hands and paws to the deck. We have been busy rescuing (often abandoned) nursing mums, orphans and pregnant kitties - saving the lives of many. Then its been super busy - giving them lots of love, expert care and the very best quality food. They have mostly been cared for at Mitzi's Kitty Corner at the lovely Cool For Cats Cattery https://www.coolforcats.org.uk/ or with our four foster mums (and their cats!). Thats what Mitzi does - moves mountains to save a kitty in trouble. Now we have opened the kitten playroom for the older ones (they will have had lots of cuddles when they have been introduced to some of our Cat Cafe visitors, and enjoy games with the Cafe cats). The nursing mums have privacy in their nurseries. I took this picture last week (not the best quality but it gives you an idea of how well they look and the fun and games). All of these kittens in the photo have been reserved.

Mitzi's kitties - kittens and adults - are very precious. We are very careful to make sure they will go to homes where they will be adored, safe and receive 5* care. (See our kitten adoption notes below). Given this care our kittens are very popular and we have no problem finding good homes.
There will be a lot of interest in our younger kittens so for more info please TEXT Vikki 07702 107079 ps i'll post pics of our younger families shortly. You will also find our facebook page very interesting and has more info and pics. YOu can also engage with us via the comments section:https://www.facebook.com/Mitzis-kitty-Corner-645421058888019/

IMPORTANT: MITZI’S KITTEN POLICY
MITZI’S kitties are very precious and we want the best for them – a home where they will be adored, safe and receive 5* care. We get a lot of interest in our kittens so hard to reply in depth to each enquiry. To save time, below is a summary of our kitten policy:

VIEWINGS. We love to show off our kittens and welcome visitors but during kitten season we are INCREDIBLY BUSY. So please TEXT Vikki 07702 107079‬ to make an appointment to meet them Please watch our Facebook page for updates

RESERVATIONS Kittens cannot be reserved until THEY HAVE REACHED 7 WEEKS. It is not until then that their personalities usually begin to emerge.

HOMING: New homes are subject to home check.

GARDEN: Most of our cats and all our kittens will value the opportunity when they are older to explore a garden and safe outside space. We would be unwilling to restrict them to a life indoors. We may have some older cats who would delight in the comforts of home and wouldn't miss the freedom afforded by a garden. If it isn't safe or possible for a cat to go outside then best to have an older puss or a different pet.

CHILDREN: Most of us grew up with animals so we welcome families with VERY GENTLE children. However, in our experience adult cats (or mature kitten-cats) are usually the best option for families with youngster - again because their character and nature is more apparent (you need a confident, gentle puss cat) and importantly they are more robust. Small children and Kittens are full of beans and can get over excited. Too often kittens are brought to us because they have scratched a child and sadly, occasionally we have had to take in a kitten who has been hurt by toddlers.

REALITY CHECK: Our 5 star care and immediate willingness to take in abandoned nursing mums, orphans and pregnant kitties involves a lot of time and money. As an independent group who are paying for everything ourselves donations are always appreciated. Cat lovers who adopt our kittens will understand when they are asked to be generous and to donate £100. This will help towards the cost of the care you’re your chosen kitten (and the kitten’s mum) and the next rescue.
Another important reality check is to consider the lifelong costs associated with welcoming a pet into your home and the need to be confident in the security of accommodation (sadly landlords can be brutal!!!)
