Poor 13 year old Thea came into Here for Cats when her owner was no longer able to care for her due to his partner becoming pregnant. They were suffering financial difficulties and became allergic to her. Thea was becoming stressed in the environment and after taking her on we discovered she had a thyroid condition which has now been stabilised on medication. She is also on pain relief for some Arthritis. Thea is currently in a cattery but isn’t coping well and seems understandably unhappy and confused about how she came to be there. Thea needs a quiet retirement home where she someone has a little more time for her. Ideally an experienced cat owner or long term fosterer who will be able to give her a good amount of time to settle in. We are open to her being an indoor or outdoor cat but a home without young children or other pets would be best for her. Here for Cats will continue to provide financial assistance and support for her medical needs as she will likely need regular blood tests. Her medication goes on her food so she is very easy to medicate.
