Bushy Tail Cat Aid
Rehoming Cats & Kittens: London (West) & Hertfordshire
Merlin
Merlin (1) came into our care after being reported limping for weeks. He had a deep puncture wound on his tail caused by a bite. The wound has now healed and the fur is growing back nicely. Merlin is not agressive towards other cats but he's not interested in making friends with them, since all he has learned so far was being bullied by them. He's young and he lacks confidence in claiming his space. He's been a very easy and undemanding foster kitty, very grateful for any food and the cuddles. Once we've gained his trust, he now seeks protection in sleeping next to a human. Merlin is best suited for a quiet household and with the family who's already had cats in the past as he will need a moment to trust a human. He's not suitable for a home with children and he would be the happiest as an only pet. He loves going out to our catio, and he won't be suitable as an indoor cat in a small space, but if a large property with cat proofed windows, balcony or even better: a catio comes along, it might work for him. A home with a secured garden would be ideal. Merlin is: neutered, fully vaccinated including leukaemia vaccine, microchipped, flea and worm treated with veterinary grade products, he is FIV/FeLV blood tested and negative. He comes with a full veterinary history and with 5 weeks of the insurance cover provided by Agria. He is being fed on high meat content wet only and raw diet. The pre-adoption house check and adoption fee of £120 applies. If you think you are the right family for Merlin, please contact us on [email protected] or [email protected] writing a few words about your previous experience with cats, and providing us with your full address for Google maps search. Please state whether you own or rent your property. Photographs of secured windows are welcome. Merlin is currently being fostered in Bushey.
