Tiktok
Tiktok came to us along with his sister when his owner was no longer able to care for him due to health issues.   He'd been born in the house he'd lived in so it was a huge change for him.   He was very scared at first,  in a bit of a mess with fleas and worms and had over groomed as a result of flea irritation.

UPDATE 18 March:  This gorgeous young man is now reserved for adoption

It didn't take many days before his true character started to show through.   Once his worms and fleas were sorted and he was feeling more comfortable, he's revealed himself to be a very playful and affectionate young man.  His tummy has settled, his fur is growing back and he's clearly beginning to love life.  He plays very boisterously with little care for anyone who gets in his way ;)   When he's not busy playing he likes eating, and loves a cuddle.  He likes a lap and is happy to be picked up for a snuggle.

After a lot of thought we've decided that it would be best to home him separately from his sister Timtam.  She's very shy and although he's not aggressive towards her, he's full of energy and desperate to play and it's just too much for her.   With careful introductions he may get on well with another confident and friendly cat - he's played happily with one of our other youngsters.    We believe he lived with children in his previous home.  He's not encountered children whilst in rescue.  He's not at all aggressive, but he thinks nothing of climbing onto a lap or shoulder and then launching himself off to chase a toy.  It's not a big deal for an adult or older child but could be scary for a little one.

He's neutered, microchipped and due to complete his primary course of vaccinations next week.  Health check at our vets found no issues once the fleas and worms were dealt with.

He'll need to be kept securely indoors for at LEAST A MONTH on arrival in his new home.  After that, and when he's more confident, he may enjoy having a secure garden to explore, well away from any busy roads.  We do require adopters to keep cats indoors during hours of darkness though ... for their own safety and that of local wildlife .. and to have access to an indoor litter tray at all times.

All our adoptions bring 4 weeks free insurance through Pet Plan.

We always homecheck prior to adoption, and ask a minimum donation of £80 for each adult neutered cat.. There’s more about our adoption process here: http://www.8livescatrescue.org/adoption-process.html and there's info about how we've adapted the process in light of Covid here: https://8livescatrescue.com/2020/11/21/adapting-and-adopting/

You’ll find some more photos and stories about our cats on our blog: https://8livescatrescue.wordpress.com/ and facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/8Lives/   There are lots of photos of Timtam and Tiktok and stories of their settling into rescue on there so do please check it out.
