Koko - RESERVED
Friendly girl Koko is looking for her forever home. Koko’s owner was unable to keep her due to unforeseen circumstances, so she has been entrusted in our care.

Sixteen year old Koko has hyperthyroidism and is currently receiving treatment for this through daily medication, which she takes without fuss twice a day. Hyperthyroidism is a common condition that mostly affects senior cats; with the right treatment cats with hyperthyroidism enjoy a good quality of life and a very good outlook. Her renal levels are also a little elevated, and for this reason she is given renal food. Renal food is easily purchased online, from the Vet or through pet shops. Koko’s dietary and health needs can be discussed further with our adoptions team when making an enquiry.

Koko is looking for a quiet, settled, indoor home as a solo cat. Anyone adopting an indoor cat from us needs to be committed to creating a stimulating and enriching indoor environment and ensuring it is safe, i.e. cat proofing any windows that will be opened, and fully cat proofing a balcony, terrace or garden if there is one. When catproofing a balcony this means ensuring it is fully enclosed, not permitting access is not usually sufficient. If their family are using the balcony, the cat should also be able to and whilst a cat will not jump if there is nowhere to go, accidents can and do happen so this is essential to do to ensure the safety of your adopted cat. The adoptions team can offer further advice on this.

Koko is being fostered at our South London hub in Abbey Wood, SE2.

No matter what their age, all adopted cats leave Catcuddles with trial insurance and this is important to take out, even for a cat like Koko who has a pre-existing health condition that will not be covered by this. For our senior cats the trial insurance is with Agria and if a policy is purchased within the trial period then you’ll be able to take out a policy for lifetime cover.

Our priority is to match felines with homes that suit their needs, character and long term requirements. Please be aware that when a particular cat receives an unusually high volume of enquiries, our dedicated adoptions volunteers may only be able to pursue the most promising. We appreciate your
