Pixie
Pixie is a very sweet older cat who likes to spend most of her day napping somewhere comfortable and warm, and her evenings enjoying some lap time on the sofa, neck scratches, purring away and/or giving us enthusiastic head bumps on our legs and the sofa arms! She can be inquisitive and despite her age can do some reasonable jumps (e.g onto the back of our sofa), but mostly likes to hang out in a couple of warm, comfy spots. With her foster family she's only been an indoor cat and seems perfectly content with that.

She is not aggressive at all, though can feel a little anxious when picked up, but we know from the previous carer that she sometimes hissed at the other resident cats, and would be better suited as the only cat in the home. Her true age isn't known but the vet estimated around 15 years. As a result, she has a few health issues though we've found these are straightforward to manage. We haven’t been able to find out when or how she lost her right eye, but she functions fairly well with just the left and she is a bit hard of hearing. Her thyroid function has normalised since she was started on thyroid medicine and she's put on some weight (though is still a bit underweight). She has had some dental work and is waiting for a follow up with the vet but she has recovered well.

Overall, Pixie is a very affectionate and relaxed, low-maintenance cat who is enjoying life at a slower place, and would be very happy to find a loving home for the rest of her retirement years.
