Mintie
Foster Placement In Or Very Near Aylesbury Required Urgently

Mintie is approximately 16 years old, blind and in kidney failure.  He was found by one of our team wandering the streets, bumping into things.  He was taken to the vet, who diagnosed his problems.  We are a small rescue with no premises (we all foster from our own homes), with only 3 regular fosterers and one of our previous fosterers has come out of retirement to help.

We will pay for all food, vet bills and other expenses involved in caring for Mintie. We want him to go to a home for long term foster/end of life care/look after him for rest of life or someone to adopt him. Mintie will require regular visits to our vet - in Aylesbury - to monitor his blood so the fosterer must be able to drive, with access to a car.  Mintie's previous foster placement fell through because the fosterer didn't fully understand the requirements of a blind cat (among other things, furniture and other objects mustn't be moved around the home, loud noises will startle a blind cat and cause them to jump).  More information about living with a blind cat can be found here: https://catchat.org/index.php/blog/1900-living-with-a-blind-cat while advice about living with cats with a variety of disabilities can be found here: https://catchat.org/index.php/disabled-cat-adopt-care
