Mouse is a muddled little cat looking for an understanding human who will help her make sense of the world.
Mouse was not properly socialised as a kitten so never got the chance to get used to being handled and all the sounds, smells and sights of a home environment, so when her owner took her in, Mouse really struggled to cope in a family home environment. She spent a lot of time hiding, and this progressed to acting in fight/flight mode with triggers that to us might seem very minor.
Mouse needs a human who will help her get used to the world at her own pace. She really does enjoy a lap and a fuss but you can see she's always on edge and a little anxious, so she needs people who will respect her boundaries rather than push them.
Inside Mouse is a very sweet natured, friendly, lovable lap cat; she just needs the right understanding human and low stress home environment. She won't be a cat that's instantly confident and friendly, but she will give you the reward of seeing positive steps as the months and years go by and she blossoms.
Strictly no children, cats or dogs
She hasn't been outside before but loves watching the comings and goings at the sanctuary so would love a garden to explore, but it must be in a quiet area away from busy roads as she's not street wise.
