My Story So Far:

I was sadly abandoned at the sanctuary a few months ago. I was brought in as a stray but after some investigating using my microchip information, it was discovered that I was actually brought here by my own owners! They were very keen to leave me here on that day and almost abandoned me until they were spotted by one of the humans at the sactuary. Thankfully, after a couple of weeks, the humans here managed to speak with my previous owner who gave some information on my history and signed me over to the sanctuary after explaining that they couldn’t look after me anymore.

I was understandably very confused about the whole situation and didn’t understand what was going on at all. I was quite wary and grumpy to begin with while I was settling in and getting used to the humans here at the sanctuary, but now that I’m settled and happy I’m a completely different cat! I love cuddles and fuss and am always happy to see my main carer especially, I have formed a lovely bond with her. I am still quite wary around some people and only really feel comfortable coming out of my pen for play time with certain people. I am very confident now around the people I feel most comfortable with, so I do form amazing bonds with people who I trust. When anyone comes to see the other cats here, I’m always trying to get their attention by rubbing up the glass of my pen too, wondering why they haven’t come to see me.

Home I am Looking For:

I am looking for a quiet home with adults only or older children 16+ who will respect my boundaries and give me time to settle in. There is a chance that I may be a little grumpy while settling in, however my carer thinks that I was only grumpy when arriving here because I was so confused and there was lots of other cats around- I don’t like other cats so this really didn’t help, I just didn’t feel comfortable! Luckily now though, I have gotten used to the idea that there are lots of other kitties here and it no longer upset me. I used to panic and growl/hiss whenever I heard the others meow, and in turn would take my anger out on the humans. I am now a lot calmer and know that I will not be mixed with the other cats because they scare me, and I feel a lot happier now.

I am looking for an indoor only home. I have always lived indoors and never had access to outside, so think I would be happier staying indoors. Although I become confident once settled, my carer thinks I would be very scared outside and may be spooked by something and run off, so the safest option is for me to remain inside my comfy new home with the humans I love.

I could not live with other cats because I am scared of them and wouldn’t be happy, and would prefer not to live with dogs. I would like to live as an only pet so that my new humans’ attention can be solely concentrated on me, and they can give me the time, patience and love that I despeately deserve after everything I’ve been through.

Important Extras:

Anyone considering to adopt Willow needs to be able to give her the time and patience that she needs while adjusting to her new home and getting to know her humans. You will need to take it at her pace and not force her to have fuss and attention if she doesn’t want it, just give her time to settle and she will soon enough be asking for tickles and cuddles when she is ready.

We have a feeling that she will be absolutely fine and settle into her new home straight away as long as she feels safe, however due to her nervous behaviours when she first arrived with us, we need to make potential adopters aware that she might be nervous to begin with. Please only apply if you are willing to work with Willow and get to know her, she is a lovely girl who deserves the best.
