Rehoming Cats & Kittens: Lancashire
Milo and Lily
This beautiful brother and sister, thought to be about eleven, have had a very rough time, especially recently.  In a nutshell, their owner for all of their lives, attempted to get somebody else to take them on board.  This didn't last long, not surprising at all when you understand how this was done.  Anyway, jumping to their current situation; the cats had been locked out of their previous home for around two weeks. Thinking of this even without the horrible weather is bad enough but throw the weather conditions in as well, it's just heartbreaking.  It makes me think of somebody putting their needy parents or grandparents out to fend for themselves.  They are now being looked after, on a very temporary basis, by a wonderful lady with a very big heart.  The temporary bit is because the cats' presence is having an effect on her and her family including causing some problems for her children.  She has a busy household anyway but when she realised what had happened, she just couldn't leave them outside in the awful weather we've been having recently.  The cats, bearing in mind all the big changes they've endured, are coping pretty well overall though signs of them being defensive are evident at times.  This is perfectly understandable in the circumstances but this understanding doesn't help the family.  All the signs are that in the right hands, and also the right environment, given time and loads of love and patience as needed, they will settle well and enjoy chilling and also having somebody of their own devoted to fulfilling their every need.  Their earlier lives and how they were looked after is not known at the moment anyway.
The siblings are long haired, Lily is black and Milo is black, tabby and white.
Milo is very friendly and loving towards adults.  He doesn't appear to like other cats but does tolerate his sister!  He does not appear to like children, especially young ones.  He is a huge love bug and really enjoys sitting with you on a comfy sofa, and especially if he then gets loads of cuddles and attention. Lily is also friendly towards adults, but can be a little unpredictable but once you know her boundaries, is absolutely fine.  A bit like us adults really, with all our likes and dislikes and general quirks.  Like her brother, she doesn't appear to like other cats but does tolerate her brother.  She isn't really a lap cat but does really enjoy a fuss.  Her fur is matted at the moment, related to the cats' lives of negect until recently, but she does allow her wonderful carer to brush her for a while so some of the matts are loosening already.   If we find out more details, we will add them.  If you are even vaguely interested in these cats, PLEASE do get in touch.  They are safe, warm, eating well, using litter trays etc in their foster home but the family's lives are being badly affected by their presence there.
