Barney (reserved)
Barney has had a long journey to get to this point. He was a unneutered tom living rough in  Leeds. He was brought to us suffering from a head tilt. The cause turned out to be a polyp in his ear and he required specialist surgery to remove it and flush out the infection. He has now fully recovered but his ear will need cleaning twice a week to ensure no other infections. He still has his head tilt but it doesn't cause him any problems and it may resolve over time. His balance is fine and he can jump and do all the normal things cats do. His ear isn't his only condition. X-rays showed he also has an enlarged heart. It doesn't require any medication but will need monitoring.
All that aside Barney is a total softy and really deserves to find someone to love and care for him for the rest of his days. He needs a home away from busy roads with access to a garden.

If you are interested in meeting Barney please fill in one of the adoption application forms on our website at yorkshireanimalshelter.org.uk
