Polly and kittens
We received a call to report that there were kittens sitting on the first floor window ledge of a semi-derelict property in Beckenham. Neighbours were trying to throw food up them.   We attended and discovered a group of men living n the derelict house, they were very helpful and explained that the mother cat was stray and they had been feeding and handling her kittens who were living in an odd cupboard sized room on the first floor, the mother cat was jumping in and out of this onto a lean to roof to access the garden.

We were able to capture mum who we have named Polly and her 6 kittens and bring them back to the centre.  The kittens are about 10 weeks old and are quite handleable, the fluffy ginger kitten had a tar like substance stuck to his fur which has had to be cut off.

Polly (mum) is a very friendly short haired brindle tortie. Her kittens are Candy a long haired black female, Popcorn a short haired brindle female, Pistachio a short haired ginger male, Pingu a long haired brindle female, Petra a long haired tabby female and Pablo a short haired ginger male.

The kittens are seeking homes in pairs. Polly is a very loving and protective mum and would like a home with two of her kittens.

To enquire about Polly and kittens please email [email protected] please include a contact tel no.   Our Rescue Centre reception is also now open every Saturday and Sunday afternoon between 1p.m and 5p.m for potential adopters to drop in to meet us for an initial chat about adopting one or more of our cats.  Our address is 233-235, Lewisham Way SE4 1UY - please bring a donation of cat food to help us feed our rescue cats.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

Because our cats are rescued we do like to meet potential adopters this can either be at your home (home visit) or via a video call e.g WhatsApp this is an informal visit to provide advice about caring for cats or kittens e.g health care, feeding, settling in and also an opportunity for us to feel reassured that you could provide a good home.

Following a successful home assessment we can make an appointment for you to come and meet our cats.

We are prioritising homes that are local to our centres.  Lewisham Branch  Homing catchment area: All SE London and BR (Bromley) postcodes. Also N.Kent (Welling, Bexley, Sidcup, Swanley, Dartford), Croydon and SW London (SW8, SW9, SW2, SW11, SW4, SW12, SW16) If you can offer a home to a 'harder to rehome' cat we will consider homes outside our usual rehoming areas.
